There were literally thousands of options, just from the last two years, that I poured through, over and over, before deciding on these for my top 10. Some were chosen because they were truly the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, while others were put on here because they were flat out dangerous and so stupid they could honestly get someone hurt. Suffice it to say, in the end, the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard any gun grabber say is “You’re just being paranoid, nobody wants your guns”. If the last 4 years have taught this country nothing, it should be that you should never take a politician at their word – or their political affiliation. Gun Grabbers come in all shapes, colors, sizes, and occupy both sides of the aisle. They’re typically filthy rich, elitist cowards who are “ok” with having their own guns, but have a problem with you having yours.
But, they do love to compete among themselves when it comes to gaffes and incomprehensible muttering, and it is those people we … honor… today, for this is my take on the Top 10 Stupidest things ever uttered by a gun grabber. Enjoy.
#10 – Racist Rant from the L.A. Times
On March 8, 2013, The L.A. Times published an article describing what they believe is the greatest threat to the security of the United States of America:
Obviously, the article did not draw the attention of TV News so, naturally, it went largely unnoticed by the country, but, suffice it to say, it was decidedly racist in nature, and inflammatory in intent. Only someone from Kalifornia could be so entirely disconnected from reality, and only someone who works for the L.A. Times could have written such an impossibly stupid piece.
#9 – Michael Bloomberg talks assault weapons
Up next is a man so hopelessly insane from an unnatural fear of lawfully armed citizens that you could make your very own Top 100 List of things that have come out of his mouth alone. Michael Bloomberg, with his Billions of Dollars, has said, and has done, a lot of really stupid things in his quest to rid the nation of Law Abiding Citizens’ right to own a firearm, but few things in his verbal arsenal of abject stupidity even come close to this clip where he is talking to Cynthia McFadden. McFadden repeatedly corrects Bloomberg on several points, including the difference between semi-auto and full-auto, making him visibly upset and irritated. He wraps up his temper tantrum by saying the idea of citizens needing a magazine with any thing over 10 rounds of ammunition is “The Stupidest thing he’s ever heard”. Someone should play this video for him. He’s obviously never heard it.
#8 – Encouraging kids to steal guns
Coalition to Stop Gun Violence spokeswoman, Rejina Sincic, released a video that she, and her group, endorsed as a Public Service Announcement. As you will see, this is not only one of the worst videos ever put together, complete with cheesy acting, lousy background music, and more hyperbole than its borders can contain, but it’s message is one that says to kids “Take your moms gun and turn it into your teacher”. This level of irresponsibility should be considered criminal. Warning: If you don’t suffer from high blood pressure already – you probably will if you watch it.
#7 – Just fire the shotgun through the door
What list of “Stupidest things ever said” would be complete without at least one entry from Joe Biden? In an interview with Field & Stream Magazine, Biden was asked “What about the other uses, for self-defense and target practice?”. Joe responded with his classic head-in-ass intellect and said:
It’s hard enough trying to follow this man as he speaks, since he seems to wander off mid sentence half the time and change course, but even after reading and re-reading his words, I still can’t wrap my head around the idea that he truly believes what he’s saying. Not only is it irresponsible to do this, but it’s also criminal. You have absolutely no idea who is on the other side of that door. He’s an idiot, for sure, but even an idiot has to recognize when they say something this monumentally stupid. I mean they do….right?…..
#6 – 30 Round Magazine Clip in 1/2 Second
If, by some odd chance, you haven’t seen this video yet, well, you’re in for a treat. More stupid things that only someone from Kalifornia can say, California Senator Kevin de Leon decides he’s going to educate his audience on firearm terminology and the “extreme lethality” of the notorious “ghost guns”. This guy clearly has no idea what the hell he’s talking about – but the people of Kalifornia elected him anyways. The video speaks for its self.
#5 – A Gun Runner talks about banning guns
We The People pay our Government with our hard earned tax money to put laws in place to assist in keeping us safe. So what, then, can we do when that same Government is involved in the business of arming the bad guys themselves? While he is far from the only Government official to ever have be caught doing such a thing, Leeland Yee is one of the most recent, and certainly highest profile, in a long time. Yee, a very vocal, outspoken opponent of the 2nd Amendment was the subject of an undercover investigation by the FBI that ultimately lead to his arrest on charges of Gun Running. That’s right. The guy who thinks you shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun is playing match maker with gun runners and violent criminals.
It just doesn’t get too much stupider than that.
#4 – Bloomberg: Disarm Black Youth
A man so… incomprehensibly insane, Bloomberg actually makes this list twice. This time with his comments that the country should “Disarm youth minorities”, more specifically black youth, in order to curtail gun violence and “save their lives”. At least Bloomberg is honest with his beliefs and remains true to the history, and true intent, of gun control.
#3 – Magazines…are…bullets?
I… I just …*SMH*. You can insert your own comments. This woman (Congresswoman Diana DeGette) doesn’t know her ass from a hole in the ground. Her words demonstrate that she has absolutely no idea what a magazine is, as she suggests that you can’t reload it, and after you’ve fired 30 rounds, it ceases to exist. I’d also like to respond to another thing she says near the end of her hate speech and say to her, directly, straw purchases are already banned you harpy. It should be a requirement to read law before you’re allowed to write it.
#2 – You can be shot by an unloaded gun
Sacramento City Councilwoman Sandy Sheedy: “You can be shot by an unloaded gun”. Yep. She said it.
#1 – I don’t believe gun owners have rights.
The queen of hate speech for over 40 years, Sara Brady has, seemingly, made it her life’s ambition to obfuscate all forms of relevant information to the general public concerning firearms, firearm safety, and criminal statistics to prevent her audience from making a well-rounded, educated decision. Sara Brady, and the Brady Campaign, have, since their inception, done nothing but stand in the way of law abiding citizens and their right to protect themselves without having ever given consideration to legislation aimed at actually disarming known criminals.
In her many years of bigoted smearing of law abiding gun owners, Sara Brady has said a lot of insanely stupid stuff, but none of it compares to one simple phrase she uttered in a speech to the Women’s National Democratic Club on Sept. 21, 1993:
I don’t believe gun owners have rights
With that once sentence, she forever made herself an enemy to peaceful, tax paying, law abiding gun owners who wanted nothing more than the simple means of protecting themselves. At the same time, she revealed the true nature of gun control: Control. She offered no solutions to gun violence, other than to disarm peaceful people, and do nothing about the thugs running rampant. It is in the eternal glory of her brazen, incomprehensible level of sheer, abject stupidity that we award her top place in the Top 10 Stupidest Things Ever Said by a Gun Grabber.
