Retired Army General Russel “The Ragin’ Cajun” Honoré delivered a hate speech against American “gun culture”, sure to draw the attention of anti-second-amendment advocates all across hte nation, during a recent interview with Gannet Louisiana/Military Times. Ignoring his oath, Army General Honoré said:
“As a country we’re in a state of denial because we’ve confused the right to bear arms with the right to carry arms all the time anywhere or anyplace you want,” Honore’ told Gannett Louisiana on Monday. “We have to have a different kind of conversation in America and be prepared to speak about the politically unspeakable.”
“It breaks my heart to see that happen in my home state or anywhere in America,” he said. “We’ve got a problem in this country, and at some point the politicians have to get down into the community and find some answers to this problem.”
He continued by saying that guns should only be allowed if always kept under lock & key:
“I’ve been around guns all my life, but when I was growing up they were locked in the cabinet unless you needed them for hunting,” he said.
I think it’s time someone reminded General Russel that he once took an oath, and he’s doing a PISS POOR job of sticking to it
I, Russel Honoré , do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
